   13 1/2 tiles x 18 1/2 tiles
   4 windows
   1 private bathroom
   6 fans
   3 sets of bunk beds
   2 wardrobe cabinets
   7 under-the-bed plastic storage containers
   1 plastic 4-drawer dresser
   1 mirror
   1 laundry basket
   1 lamp
+ 1 table for the lamp

= 250 sq ft that we've called home for the last 9 months

Over the past 289 days, we have co-resided with over 770 different people.  (Not in our personal room but under the same roof.)
That's a lot of people, even if you are a 'people person'!

We've been extremely blessed.
We've met some incredible people we now call friends.
We've witnessed amazing God-stories and watched them unfold right before our eyes.
We've fallen in love with diverse families and have prayed for them like they were our own.
We've heard life stories and we've been encouraged to share ours.
We've worked to minister and, yet, so many people have ministered to us in return.

But we are struggling and here's why.....
our current living conditions are less than ideal for our family.

While sharing 250 sq ft of personal space, the 6 of us have also begun sharing things like bad attitudes and occasional funky moods.  L

For those of you that have been here, you know that each room in the Guesthouse is named by a fruit of the Spirit.  I don't think it's coincidental that ours happens to be the Patience room...

...but even the most patient person in the world realizes when the time has come for change.

Our family unit is stressed and we cannot be as effective as we need to be in our jobs here in Haiti while we are all living in one room.

We need our own living space and we are unashamedly asking for your help!!

We believe that God has called us to this incredible work, as overseas missionaries, and though we aren't paid monetarily, we take our jobs very seriously!

Living in a third-world country is not cheap (as many are led to believe) and available housing is limited, as well as very pricey.  Most residences are 'for rent' instead of 'for sale'.  The first year's rent ($10,000-$25,000) is due upon signing a contract.  Homes do not come furnished and in order to have electricity- batteries, an inverter, and a generator are necessary and these things are the renters' responsibility.

Although it's terribly uncomfortable to ask for money, the reality is that we cannot do what we do without you and your financial support.  We currently need (65) families to commit to giving $50.00 a month (or less @ $100/month or more at $25/month).

Would you please consider being a part of the work that we are doing here in Haiti through Heartline Ministries?

If you would like to make a recurring monthly commitment you can do so here: GIVE

If you would like to give specifically to help fund our move you can enter a one-time gift amount here: GIVE

If you have already committed to give, we want to say thank you again for making a difference in our lives and those we come in contact with daily!

"God is writing His story, and He invites us to write it with Him... We become God's missionary people by joining Christ in the story line of others' lives.  And this is the grand narrative that makes sense of life:  God is reconciling the world to Himself,
and we are invited to join Him."
